Getting things right
As I use the cap more and more, I am discovering that I CAN do more things than I thought. And it has been amazing thinking about how my life has changed.
Another day, another year
Well, I am sure you have seen my posts on setting intentions for the year rather than having goals or words and that it worked really well for me last year (really only last year!).
New Year Concert
Every year we try and see the New Year concert from Vienna on BBC 2 (If you missed it is available on iplayer). And it’s something I look forward to all the time.
Intention Concepts
In the new years postings, so far I have been talking about the intention setting concept that I have (I think) mostly worked out.
Happy New Year 2025
Well this is my first post of the new year and I trust and pray that we always know that somebody is there for us in our time of need, whether it be friend, carer, family member, teacher – it doesn’t really matter.
One of those days....
Do you know I have done this 3 times! It must just be one of those things today. But it can be frustrating when you do think a post will be easy and it turns out to be the opposite of what you imagined.
Christmas Dinner
I will say I can’t remember if I have ever told you this, but I seriously don’t remember EVER cooking a Christmas Dinner.
Cpap Machine
I don’t know if you have ever had one of these, but they are there to help you through the night and as I use it more and more nights I can feel the oooh, I am beginning to notice a difference in me.
Antsy Feelings
I don’t know about you but I often get antsy feelings. And they are quite horrible because I know it means I need to do something.
Sleep Apnea
This last hospital trip where they sorted out the sleep apnea I think is what making a big difference to me. I was actually forced to STOP writing for a few days because the seizures were simply taking too much OUT of me.
Carol Concerts
There may have been carol concerts in the area but it’s not always easy to get into them, especially in a wheelchair.
Passage of Time
You know there are times when it seems to go SO fast! I mean, this year Christmas has almost come upon us and I could swear it has come MUCH faster than the last few years.
News in a Nutshell 5
My goodness, I cant’ believe it! Life is so funny sometimes. And yes, I was feeling a bit bummed because neither Kevin nor I have bought a present for each other.
Changing Self Talk
Years ago I don’t know if I told you but I never thought I could change my self talk because I didn’t even know what it actually was or even meant.
Anika’s Thoughts of the Week 6
As you know, we are coming up to Christmas and I am thoroughly enjoying watching Christmas movies while I continue to get better.
Christmas time
I just realised that I haven’t written anything dedicated to Christmas and thought I would do so right now.
Yes, I’m definitely home!
I was wondering what would really make me feel at home and actually there are quite a number of things. Being grateful for the people we love and the blessing they are to us is so important.
Anika’s Pick of the week 15
It’s actually been a bit weird being home again. Not that home is weird but I think I am still adjusting to the use of a cpap machine.
Anika’s Thoughts of the Week 5
Many thoughts about how I was treated by different people in the ward this last visit. And actually the experience was much better than the last one.
Being an Influencer
One of the things I have had to learn and discover is that if I am not careful, I can be a negative influence on other people.
