New Year Concert

Every year we try and see the New Year concert from Vienna on BBC 2 (If you missed it is available on iplayer).  And it’s something I look forward to all the time..  The music is classical and it was beautiful just listening to it and enjoying it. 

Well, as I was listening to it, and thinking how beautiful it was, I started thinking about creative things.  And wondered how much I would enjoy listening to music again.  Of course, etching is beautiful in itself and I LOVE the beauty of the scenery as well as the wonder of bringing out the beauty of the  pictures I am etching.

Anyway I was thinking of starting a group where you can come and be free to speak about your intentions.  The group is there to encourage each other and support them with their intentions.

Let me give you an example of one of my intentions for last year.  Now, I knew that I needed to do something creative but how was I going to go about it?  There were a few things that were seriously needed in place. 

I had such a time thinking about the fact that I knew I would need support to begin doing something creative.  I have lots of creative material and haven’t used it at all.  In the end, after much thought, it finally occurred to me to ask if one of the carers could come and do some crafting with me.  

Deciding what to do was the next thing and initially I thought we would create and colour what we had done and it didn’t really work,  so we ended up looking at etching and I thought it might be ok to do with the carer.  I have never enjoyed anything so much.  AND I have managed to keep it going all year.
